These days it is clear that language and interpreting are key political issues for social movements that enable us to take our struggles across linguistic barriers.
However, we do not often give the necessary attention to interpreting technology. Above all, not enough attention is given to the time, human resources and technical know-how necessary to ensure it works well.
Because of this, COATI, a not-for profit group, works to build and maintain
collective tools based on experiences of DIY self-organisation and open source.
